Amid EV jugger Bajaj Postponed its CNG 2 Wheeler to17th July

13 June, 20241 min read

Bajaj Auto, a well-established manufacturer of internal combustion engine (ICE) two-wheelers and a Among top player in the electric vehicle (EV) market , has announced that it will be postponing the release of its much-anticipated CNG-powered two-wheeler. The new launch date for the vehicle has been set for July 17th, a month later than the previously announced date of June 16th.

The reason for the delay is not yet known, but it is possible that Bajaj is taking extra time to ensure that the vehicle meets the high standards that customers have come to expect from the company. The CNG two-wheeler is expected to be a game-changer in the Indian market, where CNG is a popular and affordable alternative to traditional petrol and diesel fuels. The vehicle is expected to not only be environmentally friendly, but also cost-effective, with the potential to reduce running costs by up to 50%.

Bajaj's decision to enter the CNG two-wheeler market is a strategic one, as it will allow the company to compete in both the EV and traditional two-wheeler markets. The leaked documents suggest that the CNG two-wheeler will be based on Bajaj's 100 or 110cc ICE two-wheelers, and will also have a small fuel tank to allow riders to travel to the nearest CNG station. However, there is no concrete information on the specifications of the vehicle.

Bajaj's entry into the CNG two-wheeler market is a significant development, as it is the first major two-wheeler manufacturer in India to do so. The company's expertise in both ICE and EV technologies, as well as its strong brand and distribution network, will give it a significant advantage in this new market.
