The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is embracing Artificial Intelligence (AI) to transform accounting practices. the apex body regulating the profession of Chartered Accountancy in India, has been keenly observing and adopting innovations to enhance the efficacy of its members and the services they offer. One such innovation that has been gaining significant traction is Artificial Intelligence (AI).
The "AI in ICAI" Committee has proposed a roadmap for integrating AI in ICAI's functioning, student and member services, and employee activities for 2024-25. The committee aims to promote AI adoption among ICAI stakeholders through digital knowledge dissemination and interactive educational activities such as webinars, conferences, and training programs.
The first meeting of the "AI in ICAI" Committee was held on 1st March, 2024, signaling the start of AI integration in the accounting industry. with follow on 25th April, 2025.
